This Privacy Policy informs you about how the association ICS Security Switzerland processes personal data within the meaning of the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG).
It applies to association members, interested parties, event participants, and visitors to our website.
The association operates as non-profit, neutral and non-commercial; we only collect and process personal data that is necessary for the association’s purposes and the conduct of our activities.

Our website is hosted on GitHub Pages.
Our email communication runs via Google Workspace.
Our membership management is handled by Webling (uSystems GmbH, Switzerland).
Note on Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses no cookies and no web analytics tools. There is no tracking or profiling on www.icssec.ch.
When using external services such as LinkedIn, their own privacy and cookie policies apply, over which we have no influence:

2. Data We Process
We process exclusively the data necessary for association management, communication, and event organisation.
2.1 Event Registrations (e.g. via LinkedIn)
Data collected:
- First name, last name
- Email address
- Employer / role (optional)
- Country / region (if requested)
This data is used exclusively for event management.
2.2 Contact Enquiries
When you contact us by email or via a form, we store the provided data to respond to your enquiry.
2.3 Membership
When joining the association and registering via the Webling portal, we collect:
- Name, address, email
- Invoice and payment history (membership fees)
- Industry / Sector
- City / Place of residence
This information is used for:
- Internal membership management
- Assignment to subject areas
- Planning of meetings and activities
No use for marketing.
No disclosure to third parties.
No profiling.
Membership management and registration is handled via Webling membership software by uSystems GmbH (Switzerland). Data is stored exclusively in Switzerland or the EU.
3. Purpose of Data Processing
We use data exclusively for:
- Running events & meetups
- Managing registrations
- Communication regarding association activities
- Membership management
- Collaborative organisation of content, training & site visits
The association uses no tracking tools, conducts no profiling, and carries out no commercial advertising.
4. Data Disclosure
We do not share personal data with third parties.
Exceptions only:
- if there is a legal obligation, or
- if external platforms (such as LinkedIn Events) are technically necessary.
4.1 Data Processing by Webling
For membership management, we use Webling membership software by uSystems GmbH (Switzerland). Webling processes member data on our behalf.
Nature of processing:
- Technical operation of the membership management software
- Storage of member data (name, address, email, payment history)
- Provision of association management functions
Data protection guarantees:
- Webling stores all data exclusively in Switzerland or the EU
- A Data Processing Agreement exists in accordance with GDPR and Swiss Data Protection Act (nDSG)
- Webling implements technical and organisational data protection measures
- Webling acts only on our instructions and does not disclose data without authorisation
- Sub-processors are only engaged after review and with notification

5. Storage and Deletion
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by law. After the purpose lapses or statutory retention periods expire, the data will be deleted or anonymised.
- Event data: deleted after conclusion and evaluation of the event, unless legal or organisational reasons require longer retention.
- Member data: stored for the duration of membership and deleted after withdrawal, unless legal obligations prevent this.
- Contact enquiries: deleted when no longer needed.
6. Your Rights under Swiss DSG
You have the right under the Swiss Data Protection Act in particular to:
- Access to your stored personal data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data, unless legal retention obligations apply
- Restriction of processing
- Withdrawal of consent (where consent has been given)

7. Data Security
We protect your data through appropriate technical and organisational measures.
GitHub Pages as hosting provider, Google Workspace as email service provider, and Webling as membership management software process data in accordance with their own security and privacy standards. Webling implements specific technical and organisational measures in accordance with the Data Processing Agreement.
8. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. The current version is always available on our website.
